| The Russian blue has a calm, sweet, very affectionate and intelligent character. He adores their owners, although he has tendency to become close to a especially member from their human family to which expresses their most authentic devotion. If you are the lucky selected owner, he doesn't separate you, accompanying you for the whole house to observe all the activities that you carries out sincerely and, if finds opportunity, to participate in the same ones. In fact, this breed is very sensitive to their owner's frame of mind, with which shares his happiness and sadness moments. |
| With foreign visits, the Russian blue is very as shy as curious, and so in few minutes he will leave from his hiding-place to sniff the intruder protected under their owner’s legs or side… at least, until he has taken enough trust (that usually costs some 2 or 3 visits more). He is good partner of responsible children and even other mascots, especially other cats. |

 |
| He is extraordinarily clean and methodical, therefore is grateful for the regularity of their owners' customs (schedules, foods…). He is not lover of the changes neither the tense or noisy atmospheres (high music, screams or discussions…). in fact, the own Russian blue has a very soft and delicate voice that uses in few occasions, to express his feelings or to attract its owner's attention. |

Due to his great intelligence, is very easy to educate him since he is a kitten so that, for example, assist for his name and obey the orders of their owner. Anyway, it is not strange that he learns for oneself other skills, for example, to open any door, to request any thing (an extra brushing, a cleaning of the drawer, a game…) and that it even trains their owner so that it throws him their favourite toy. In fact, the Russian blue maintains an active, curious and playful attitude along his extensive life. |
| The personality of the Russian blue facilitates his perfectly adaptation to the life in a small apartment, where it can pass single great part of the day, as many times forces the frantic rhythm that the modern life imposes to his owners.
|
| Although the Russian blue is perfectly adapted to an indoor life, if he has the opportunity, he won't doubt to leave to the garden and, even, reward us with some prey captured by himself (grasshopper, birds, small lizards…) in honour to their good hunter fame. |
